Abstract
In this article we discuss those physical properties (such as diffusion, viscosity and thermal conduction) which are dependent upon thermal motion. Time-dependent distribution functions are introduced, and related to the auto-correlation functions which determine these properties. Measurements on the spectral density of the modes of motion and the propagation of waves in liquids are discussed in detail. Keywords
