Abstract
This note points out an error in an earlier paper by the author and shows why the estimates of the influence of impurity induced strain in that paper are typically something like 10 times too large for oscillations due to the belly of the Fermi surface for the noble metals and 5 times too large for those due to the neck. Keywords
