Abstract
A case of an open depressed fracture of the skull overlying and partially obliterating the superior sagittal sinus is reported. Depressed fractures overlying major venous sinuses as a cause of persistent elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) and poor neurologic outcome without treatment is discussed. Measurement of ICP and cerebral angiography may have a role to play in the management of these patients. Keywords
