Abstract
The hermit crab retracts into its shell when a moving object is brought close to it. The animals were stimulated by a sharp blow from a rubber bulb. Three tests per day, for 18 days, were given to 30 crabs. 21 of the 30 gave a zero score on the last days, showing complete de-conditioning of the fear-retractive response. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
