Abstract
Daytime plasma melatonin levels were measured by RIA in 83 boys and 79 girls, representing 2 prepubertal ages and all pubertal stages. No significant differences were found within different pubertal stages or between the two sexes. According to our study, the onset of puberty is not associated with changes in melatonin secretion, as estimated from plasma melatonin levels. (J Clin Endocrinol Metab54: 1056, 1982)Keywords
