Abstract
Over 600,000 mixed sex sterile Anthonomus grandis grandis Boheman that had been sterilized by feeding them diflubenzuron treated diet for 6 days and then irradiating them were released in 2.4 ha of cotton in south Florida. Results showed that a boll weevil population was not established in the field which indicated that all of the insects were sterilized. Keywords
