Abstract
Various types of location systems have been proposed for locating cellular telephones. In location systems examined by and field tested by Associated Group, time different of arrival systems have proven to yield the best performance for the signals transmitted by AMPS cellular telephones. The reverse control channel transmissions were identified as the preferred channel to locate due to signal characteristics. Keywords
