Abstract
-Using the technique of Hardy, Wolff, and Goodell, a significant variability was found in the pain threshold detns. in different persons and also in the same person over a period of time. The avg. pain threshold of 16 young adults was 67.7 millivolts with a standard deviation of 23.5 millivolts. About 2/3 of the persons showed a gradual rise in threshold over a period of mos. Keywords
