Large Multimode Stable Resonator Propagation

Abstract
A simple set of equations is identified which accurately predict the performance of large multimode stable resonators. Extremely good agreement between theoretical predictions and experimental measurements of beam diameters has been verified for several different size and wavelength lasers. The equations are easily incorporated into computer spread-sheet programs to simplify the process of designing optical systems for experiments with high energy lasers (HEL's) within the laboratory.© (1989) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
