Abstract
A crystalline antibiotic substance was isolated from R. reticulata, with a mol. wt. of about 310. This value favors the empirical formula C16H14O6 (mol. wt. 302). Analyses of the properties of the compd. indicate that it may be identical with usnic acid. Keywords
