The Inheritance of the Mutation "Pearl" in the Flour Beetle, Tribolium castaneum Herbst

Abstract
A new mutation for this beetle is descr. When present in a homozygous condition it causes the eyes of the beetles to lack black pigmentation in the central om-matidia. It apparently behaves as a single Mendelian recessive gene.
