Abstract
A new type of frequency tuning for stimulated four-photon mixing is demonstrated using bending-induced birefringence in a single-mode fiber. It is experimentally verified that the frequency shift of the Stokes emission is tuned by approximately 100 cm−1 via the bending-induced birefringence in the spectral region around 1 μm. This will provide a new application of a birefringent fiber to a optical frequency generator. Keywords
