Abstract
. The series of conferences for scientists and technologists on 'Starting one's own Business' are part of a growing interest in this country in aiding the technical entrepreneur. What do such conferences offer their participants? What type of person attends them? and can we yet predict beforehand who is likely to become a successful technical entrepreneur? There follows a brief description of the first such conference and its participants.Keywords
