Microscopic prescriptions for elastic and inelastic scattering

Abstract
New prescriptions are presented for the single scattering approximations for the optical potential and distorted-wave impulse approximation transition amplitudes. They are based on the application of systematics observed in the behavior of off-shell T matrices calculated from realistic potential models.Keywords
