Abstract
Six groups of rats were separately fed on a basal diet, with choline chloride, inositol, Mazola oil, Mazola oil and inositol, or Mazola oil and choline. After 8 wks., examination of the individual liver fats showed the lipotrophic action of choline to be increased in the presence of Mazola oil presumably through the action of essential fatty acids. The lipotrophic action of inositol was obliterated by Mazola oil.
