Abstract
This effort was directed toward experimental investigation of the static and dynamic pressure levels within shallow weapons bay cavities. Several turbulence reduction techniques and various bay geometry features were investigated. These included forward and aft blowing slots, fences positioned at the upstream cavity lip, and rounded cavity lips. Installation of a 50% porosity fence at the forward lip was determined to be the single most effective technique. Keywords
