Abstract
Stylodrilus heringianus Claparède is reported from the Island of Newfoundland. Stages in the development of the genitalia are designated and described. The life history of the species in two temporary pools at Logy Bay, St. John's, Newfoundland, is described on the basis of the sexual stages. The life history in Newfoundland is discussed and compared with reports of the life history of the species from elsewhere.
