Abstract
A technique is presented for obtaining optimum reduced-order models for multi-input, multi-output, linear, time-invariant systems with step and other forms of input. The reduced model approximates in the sense of minimum mean square error to the transient portion of the system response, while the steady-state portion is matched exactly. Keywords
