Abstract
The phosphatase present in normal human urine hydrolyzed [beta]-glycerophosphate more rapidly than [alpha]-glycerophosphate. Phenyl phosphate was hydrolyzed more rapidly than either. The enzyme was most active at pH 4 to 5. It was not activated by Mg. Urine also contains a phosphatase with an alkaline pH optimum, probably similar to plasma phosphatase. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
