Abstract
Thirty minutes after the injn. of insulin the glucose concn. was decreased in all the blood phases. Expressed as avg. percentage decrease the changes were: plasma 52.3%, whole blood 40.9%, and corpuscles 21.1%. Over the same time interval the glucose distr. ratio increased from 0.637 to 1.129. These data suggest that changes in plasma glucose concn. offer the more accurate measure of the insulin sensitivity of the dog. Keywords
