Abstract
The ordanchites (tephrites with haueyne) of the Cantal [massif, Central Massif of France] are limited to the deposits at Pailherols, Falgoux, Limon, and Gelneuf-le Chaumeil-Brujalaine. Very homogeneous despite their apparent variations in facies, these are all leucocratic rocks, subplagioclasic, with augite and hornblende. The other 'andesites with haueyne' or tephrites, cited in the literature [on this area], are actually labradorites (l'Heritier), basic andesites (La Chevade), aphyric basalts or latites (Prat-de-Bouc).Keywords
