Abstract
The perturbation expansion α2=1+C1z−C2z2+C3z3−+⋅⋅⋅ has originally been derived in the limit of a very large number of bonds (N→∞). Problems are discussed which arise when this formula is used for finite N. For this case it is shown that the coefficients of the expansion are no longer constant but are influenced by the kind of potential. Keywords
