Abstract
We report a case of prosthetic hip infection due to Tropheryma whipplei in a 74-year-old man not previously known to have Whipple's disease. Diagnosis was based on systematic 16S rRNA gene amplification and sequencing of samples obtained during revision hip arthroplasty. Keywords
