Static fluid cylinders in general relativity

Abstract
Einstein's field equations are applied to infinite cylinders of fluid, and some exact solutions are obtained by a systematic method. Solutions having p varies as rho are shown to be unstable as the equation of state p= rho is approached.Keywords
