Abstract
Communication by drawing has often been suggested in the reha.bilitation of aphasia. According to the PACE) therapy approach, Davis and Wilcox (1981) proposed the use of drawing as a nonverbal mode of communication in dialogue situations. Ducarne de Ribaucourt (1986) was more cautious arid suggested adopting drawing for therapeutic piirposcs only in particular cases. More recently, Birnes (1988) and Pachalska et al. (1988) have recommended art programmes in order to improw social interactions and cmotional expression of aphasics. Keywords
