PYOGENIC LIVER ABSCESS

Abstract

Four cases of pyogenic liver abscess were diagnosed and localized by angiography and liver scan. Closed drainage by percutaneous aspiration under fluoroscopic guidance was employed for treatment in 2 cases. The use of closed aspiration along with appropriate antibiotics can decrease morbidity and mortality as well as adequately manage the patient with pyogenic liver abscess.
