Television and Hollywood: Economic relations in the 1970's

Abstract
Described in some detail here is the increasingly close economic tie between the “old” Hollywood film business and the “new” television programming production business located in the same area—and using the same people, facility, and funding. Indeed, what is discussed here is really a new amalgam of the two formerly separate industries. Dr. Guback is a research associate professor while Mr. Dombkowski is a research assistant at the Institute of Communications Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana.
