Photoproduction ofK+Mesons from Deuterium

The differential cross section for the reaction $\gamma +n\to K^{+}+{\Sigma }^{-}$ has been measured. The data are obtained by observing the charged $K$ particle with a magnet spectrometer alternately from hydrogen and from deuterium. For $\gamma$-ray energy of 1122 Mev and for ${\theta }_{\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{m}.\mathrm{}}=82\mathrm{}°$ we get $\frac{d{\sigma }_{n{\Sigma }^{-}}}{d{\sigma }_{p{\Sigma }^0}}=1.6\mathrm{}\pm 0.7$.
