Abstract
The oxygen NMR shift and the Cu nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate () were measured in single crystals. While both the shift and decrease sharply near , becomes nearly constant at low temperatures, indicating a gapless superconducting state with finite density of states at the Fermi level. From the oxygen shift data, the residual spin susceptibility at is estimated to be 10% of the value at room temperature. Our results are most consistent with a -wave pairing model with strong (resonant) impurity scattering.
