Abstract
Plasmln inhibitor titer, wt. loss and mortality of starved Sprague-Dawley rats and of rats exposed to 1000 r, LD/100 (8 days), was detd. The plasmin inhibitor titer of 100-r-treated rats begins to decrease 2 days after irradiation and continues to decrease until the 6th day. Starvation produces a somewhat similar lowerelng and, therefore, no definite conclusions can be drawn as to whether irradiation itself causes a lowering in the titer. A wt. loss of nearly identical magnitude in the 1st 5 days is observed in both the irradiated and starved animals although the mortality differs greatly. Keywords
