An Apparatus for Handling Paraffin Ribbons

Abstract
Stimulation of frog nerve and dog-fish spinal cord inside a respiratory chamber was found to cause a distinct increase in 0 intake; stimulating these tissues outside caused no measurable increase. The author believes that the increase in oxidation is only an artificial result of the electrical stimulation. Increased sugar consumption by stimulated nervous tissue, however, he believes to be a true manifestation of physiological excitation.
