Abstract
Speech adequacy ratings were collected on a nationwide sample of 497 children with cerebral palsy. Differences in speech ability between type of condition, degree of physical involvement, and chronological age were investigated. Significant differences in speech were reported between (a) spastics and athetoids and (b) three levels of physical involvement. No meaningful differences were found with regard to chronological age. Keywords
