Multiplicity Distribution in High-EnergyppCollisions

Abstract
An analysis is made of the fluctuation observed in the multiplicity distribution at 205 GeV/c. A compound Poisson distribution is proposed to describe the distribution of multiparticle production. Applications are given to currently available data.
