Abstract
A general discussion on the mode of action of penicillin is presented. Topics discussed include enzymes involved in bacterial cell wall peptidoglycan crosslinking, uses of exocellular enzymes and membrane-bound enzymes. Bacteria studied include Bacillus licheniformis, Escherichia coli, Streptomyces spp. and Proteus mirabilis. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
