Abstract
The continuous‐culture pilot plant at Clevedon is based on Monod's large bactogen. The special feature of this type of apparatus is the rotating drum inside the fermenter which insures good aeration and mixing without the incorporation of a sparger. The apparatus is designed for the cultivation of non‐pathogens only. Keywords
