Abstract
A model in which a baryon is a bound state of a quark and diquark is used to obtain a classification of baryon resonances according to a broken scheme. If the interaction between quark and diquark has an appreciable space-exchange contribution, a level ordering is obtained which is consistent with the present experimental information. The results are compared to those obtained with other models.
