Formation of domains in the random-field Ising model

Abstract
Monte Carlo simulations of the random-field Ising model for dimensions d=2 and d=3 show the occurrence of fractal domains that are pinned by the random-field configuration. For d=3, the domain size distribution satisfies scaling properties below the critical temperature, while for d=2 the largest domain becomes frozen as the temperature approaches zero.Keywords
