Abstract
Comparative studies on the rates of reduction of tetrazolium and consumption of oxygen by human tissues revealed a metabolic activity in the tetrazolium experiments which was only 3 to 5% of that found by manometric measurements of the consumption of oxygen. The findings are in agreement with those reported by Barker for rat tissue homogenates. Keywords
