The Ethnomycology of the Sanama Indians

Abstract
The edible fungus species used in the diet of the Sanama of Brazil belong mainly to the subfamilies Polyporoideae and Lentinoideae in the genera Favolus, Polyporus, Lentinus and Pleurotus. They also eat a few Agaricales. The Sanama names of > 20 spp. of fungi are tabulated.
