Abstract

Twelve species and eleven varieties are recognized, including: G. amoena v. sonomensis (p. 338), California; G. parviflora v. luteola (p. 349), California; G. purpurea v. parviflora (Oenothera lepida v. parviflora S. Wats.) (p. 335) ; G. amoena v. gracilis (G. g. Piper) (p. 342) ; G. parviflora v. margaritae (G. viminea v. m. Jepson) (p. 350) ; G. cylindrica (G. bottae v. c. Jepson) (p. 352) ; G. bottae v. deflexa (G. d. Jepson) (p. 355). Many forms, varieties and species are reduced to synonymy.
