Abstract
A coherent optical fibre system is studied in which two Zeeman lasers are used as local oscillator and transmitter laser, and which work independently of each other without any frequency tracking loop, which is usually indispensable in coherent optical systems. The system works satisfactorily. The intermediate frequency can be arbitrarily tuned from about 400 MHz to 4 MHz.Keywords
