Abstract
The authors apply the scaling theory of localisation to a quasi-one-dimensional system of noninteracting electrons in a random potential. For small values of the interchain coupling t they find localisation. The critical value tc where the Anderson transition takes place is proportional to the intrachain scattering rate. Keywords
