Abstract
An experimental study is described, leading to the design and construction of a near-field electromagnetic radiation probe operable in the frequency band 915 to 2450 MHz. The study is concerned with some of the problems involved in making accurate near-field measurements, particular emphasis being placed on measurements in close proximity to potential sources of a radiation hazard. Results of the study are incorporated into the design of a microwave radiation probe, which offers significant advantages over commercially available types. Keywords
