Abstract

[M(CPh₃)Cl], obtained by oxidative addition of Ph₃CCl to M(dibenzylideneacetone)_n(M = Pd or Pt), was converted into [M(CPh₃)(acac)](I); three independent types of fluxional behaviour have been observed for (I).
