Abstract
The authors present numerical studies of the injection and resistive trapping efficiency of ion rings, using an improved algorithm. Trapping efficiency is found to be strongly dependent upon the number of particles injected and upon mirror ratios in the system. Wall resistivity and beam divergence affect the processes to a lesser extent. Keywords
