Abstract
The relationship between the passive hemagglutination and hemagglutination inhibition tests used in serum surveys for specific [Yersinia pestis] plague antibodies was investigated. Both techniques gave similar titers of sera of albino Rattus norvegicus [common plague vectors] convalescent from plague infection. They appear to be equally suitable for plague surveillance and control programs.
