Antibody Formation against Horseradish Peroxidase in Choroidal Plasma Cells in the Rabbit

Abstract

Rabbits receiving intravitreal injections of 1 mg of horseradish peroxidase reacted with severe uveitis. Specific antibodies against horseradish peroxidase were found in choroidal plasma cells by ultrastructural cytochemical methods at 12,17 and 21 days after intravitreal injection. Results are discussed in relation to studies on the aetiology of uveitis.
