Abstract
[Abstract only.][long dash]Flowrate, pH and electrolyte concentrations are presented. The parotid glands produced the highest rate of secretion and the sublingual glands the lowest, utilizing the same stimulus. The pH values were essentially the same for the 3 fluids. The electrolyte composition of the submandibular and sublingual glands were similar, while the parotid fluid composition differed markedly from the other 2. The bicarbonate values appeared to parallel the secretion rate. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
