Abstract
Fluorescence of the free radical NH2, produced in the gas phase in a flow system and excited by a cw dye laser operating in the region 4600–5000 Å has been studied. Several new vibronic Π and Φ states have been identified in the region of the previously known (0, 14, 0) vibronic state near 21 000 cm−1. The analysis is based on combined use of laser fluorescence data and the optical emission spectrum. An astrophysical line, observed in comet spectra, has been assigned. Keywords
