Abstract
Five parasitoids and 3 pathogens were found in Queensland attacking the introduced moth, Samea multiplicalis Guenée which was introduced into Australia as a biological control agent for the water weed, Salvinia molesta Mitchell. Twenty‐two per cent of larvae collected were parasitised and 90% of larval mortality was due to a braconid wasp, Protomicroplitis sp. A microsporidian, Nosema sp. ‘B', and 2 other unidentified pathogens were also present in ca 2% of the sample of S. multiplicalis. Keywords
